Our Story
Hallowell 401(k) Assurance, LLC was created with the sole focus of auditing 401(k) plans. We provide high-quality audits through a timely and efficient process so that you can focus on running your business. We limit the number of clients engaged each year so that we can provide quality service along with a quick turnaround time.
About Todd Hallowell, CPA
Todd Hallowell, our founder and shareholder, began his CPA career at a Florida firm where he performed audits of privately held companies, non-profits, governmental entities and employee benefit plans. He then went on to specialize in employee benefit plans and became a leader in the employee benefit plans practice during his 10 years at the firm.
This led Todd to join a firm whose sole focus was on auditing employee benefit plans. He managed over 60 plans a year at this firm.
Todd enjoys building relationships with his clients and providing them with an efficient audit experience. Todd graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting. He lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife and daughter and enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and watching soccer matches.
Industry Involvement
Todd Hallowell has been involved in over 450 employee benefit plan audits throughout his career. He has worked for two of the largest benefit plan specialty firms in the country and has over 15 years of experience with benefit audit plans.
Todd has also spoken to TPA groups and recordkeepers at the Florida HR Conference about retirement plan audits and served on the Florida Institute of CPA’s Employee Benefits Plan Conference Committee.
